Meet the Storykeeper
The reader behind the Hearth
Hello, readers! I’m Chelsea. Welcome to my Hearth.
I’m a mom, wife, and firefighter with more hobbies than I probably have time for. I love traveling, training martial arts, and dreaming up ways to make my small home look like it belongs on HGTV. But over the last five years, one hobby has quietly become my favorite: reading.
It all started when my friends convinced me to pick up Verity by Colleen Hoover. I had no idea at the time that one book would send me down the reading rabbit hole, but here we are.
Since then, I’ve developed such an appreciation for everything that exists between the covers of a book—the creativity, the research, the imagination, and the incredible amount of work an author pours into bringing a story to life.
One of my favorite feelings is walking into a bookstore and simply looking around. There are shelves upon shelves of stories surrounding me—fiction and nonfiction, worlds imagined and lives actually lived—and I can’t help but think about how many of them are still waiting to be discovered.
And when I finish one, I need to talk about it.
It doesn’t even have to be a favorite. Every book leaves me with something. Maybe I loved it. Maybe it broke my heart. Maybe it frustrated me. Maybe it taught me something, made me question something, or left me thinking about it long after I turned the final page.
That desire to share those thoughts is exactly why I created The Storykeeper’s Hearth.
Here, you’ll find my thoughts on every book I read, along with whatever happens to be sitting on my nightstand at the moment. My bookshelf wanders through all kinds of genres, from fantasy and historical fiction to romance, self-help, faith and spirituality, and whatever else catches my attention along the way.
So, if you’re searching for your next read, pull up a chair and stay awhile. You might just find a story worth keeping.
And please, send your recommendations my way! I’m always searching for another book to add to the shelf.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Welcome to the Hearth
